Title: Seizures and more.....

I TINK i have decided to become a neurologist. I am always switching ambitions, but i tink the toilet cleaner one still stays the longest. I read this very interesting post about tonic-clonic seizures, which is known as grand mal seizures in the past but this term is now discouraged. If u have this type of seizure, u will go into the aura state first, b4 going into the tonic state which means biting your tongue (ouch!). After tat, u will go into the clonic phase-which is also the last phase- and your muscles will start to contract and relax rapidly, causing convulsions. It is sth like electric shock, i tink.
There are many types of seizures. But i tink the most interesting one is absense seizures. In absense seizures, the person may appear to be staring into space with or without jerking or twitching movements of the eye muscles. These periods last for seconds, or even tens of seconds. Those experiencing absence seizures sometimes move from one location to another without any purpose. No twitching of eye muscles for ten seconds, tat is like so cool! I cant do tat.
If i become a neurologist, i get to study all of them. There are many more seizures tat i dun have time to elaborate. And oh, did i mention tat seizures respond dogs r so damn cool! They can summon help, either by finding another person or activating a medical alert or pre-programmed phone, pulling potentially dangerous objects away from the person's body, "blocking" to keep individuals with absence seizures from walking into obstacles, streets, and other dangerous areas Attempting to arouse the unconscious handler during or after a seizure
Providing emotional and physical support
Carrying information regarding the dog and the handler's medical condition
Tat is like so cool. So u can sorta imagine how hard it is to train a seizure dog. I tink there is currently no cure for seizures. Maybe, i can ask my uncle more about it. Maybe this ambition of mine will last a little while b4 i go back to wanting to become a toilet cleaner again.
Did i mention i like the smell of hospital. I dunno why i like the smell of odd things like fresh ink smell, esp on magazines, like newsweek. And i also like the smell of chlorine. I guess i have a weird sense of smell. And i esp like the smell of hospital. Dental clinic is not tat bad too.Oh, Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult is coming out in March 2009! *Shriek* This is my most anticipated book of the year other than The Solomon Key by Dan Brown. Handle with care sounds interesting. Hopefully, the lib will have it. Or i will juz buy it from Barnes and Noble, wait, i mean Borders, since there is no Barnes and Noble in Singapore. I rmb someone ask me to read Sundays at Tiffany's. But i read the plot and it sounds like so kind of romance book so maybe i shld juz skip it.Piggies are so kawaii!!!
